 Potomac I270 basketball participates in the I270 basketball league (http://www.leaguelineup.com/i-270youthbasketball)

 

The I-270 Sports Club, entering its 3030th year of competition, has geographic areas representing the Damascus, Darnestown, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Clarksburg, Potomac, Redland, Olney, Bethesda and Rockville communities.

In accordance with League rules, each Area is aligned with a Montgomery County Public School cluster system, and again this year rigid enforcement of this rule is planned.
Those who attend private schools are eligible provided they live within the Cluster district defined for an Area. The cluster schools for the Potomac team are as follows:

Elementary Schools: Seven Locks, Potomac, Beverly Farms, Coldspring, Bellsmill, Wayside, Lakewood, Travilah, DuFief, Falls Meade

Middle Schools: Cabin John, Hoover, Frost

High Schools: Churchill, Wootton

NOTE: Walter Johnson cluster schools are eligible to play for the Bethesda I270 team.

 

The League comprises three divisions: BANTAMS Ages 9 and 10 (11 year old players are eligible provided they do not turn 11 before 9/1/12) JUNIORS Ages 11 and 12 (13 year old players are eligible provided they do not turn 13 before 9/1/12) SENIORS Ages 13 and 14 (15 year old players are eligible provided they do not turn 15 before 9/1/12)

[NOTE: All players making an I-270 team will be required to turn in a photocopy of their official state birth certificate with their registration form. A hospital record is not an official record.
